Vaughn and his team went above and beyond for my controlled excavation (archaeology) project. Cost estimate was on target. Work was performed well and diligently and the very polite operator provided extra help without being asked and at no additional cost. These folks are great. I recommend them without reservation.

Hired G1 Excavation to spread 25 tons of 2A modified stone over a driveway and parking area (roughly 2,350 sq ft) ahead of a tight renovation deadline, and they made it work despite the short notice. From the start, communication was quick and practical. When I asked about digging up the existing sod before spreading the stone, they explained the 811 markout requirement and why that timeline wouldn't work for digging, which saved me from a compliance headache I hadn't thought about. They also caught early on that the delivered stone might not be quite enough to fully cover the area at the depth needed, which was a useful heads-up before the job started rather than a surprise afterward. They were flexible on scheduling to fit around my renovation timeline, coordinated well on the exact spread perimeter using satellite images to make sure it matched what I wanted, and were mindful of the property being tenant-occupied, asking in advance to make sure the driveway would be clear. The job was finished on time, with photos sent once done, and the area looked exactly as expected for a temporary base layer. Straightforward, professional, and easy to communicate with throughout. Would recommend for excavation and grading work, especially if you're working on a tight timeline.

Hired him to clear out a few acres of wasted wooded space on the property. He did an awesome job. Comms were great, he worked really hard, he was on time, reasonable cost. He’s a super nice guy- I’d happily recommend him to anyone needing this kind of work done. We plan to hire him again to do some other jobs we need taken care of.
